Given:

16 packets of 15 pencils = Rs. 600

Jas has = Rs. 1000

She spent = Rs. 200

Calculation:

Amount left = Total amount - amount spend

⇒ Amount left = 1000 - 200 = Rs. 800

Cost of 1 pencil = (600)/(15 × 16)

⇒ Cost of 1 pencil = Rs. 2.5

Number of pencils can be purchased = Amount available/Cost of 1 pencil

⇒ Number of pencils = 800/2.5

⇒ Number of pencils = 320 

∴ 320 pencils can be purchased.
