Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : 50

Given:

Percentage of passing marks = 60%

Each question = 2 marks

Out of 40 question correct answers = 30

Calculation:

Let the total number of the questions be x.

Total marks = 2x

According to the question,

Candidates needs 60% marks to pass the exam.

⇒ 60% of  (2x) = 30 x 2

⇒ (60/100) x 2x = 60

⇒ 2x = (60 x 100)/60

⇒ 2x = 100

⇒ x = 50

∴ The total number of the question in the examination is 50.
