Given: 

Speed of a Ruchir is 20 km/hr

Speed of a Rukuma is 25 km/hr

Calculation:

Speed = Distance/Time

Relative speed = (Speed of first person + Speed of second person),

When they are traveling to each other.

Calculation:

Relative speed = (20 + 25)

⇒ Relative speed = 45 km/hr

Took 48 minutes to reach,

Distance = 45 × 48/60(minutes converted into hours)

⇒ Distance = 9 × 4 = 36 km

∴ Total distance is 36 km.
