Correct Answer - Option 3 : 32.5

Given:

Total observation = 10

Formula Used:

Range = Upper value - Lower value

Mean = Sum of observation/Total number of observation

Calculation:

Arranging the data in ascending order:

23, 26, 28, 32, 33, 35, 38, 40, 41, 54

Middile value of observation are 33 and 35

Median = Average of middle value

⇒ Median = (33 + 35)/2

⇒ Median = 68/2 = 34

Range = Upper limit - Lower limit

⇒ Range = 54 - 23 = 31

Mean = (34 + 31)/2

⇒ Mean = 65/2 = 32.5

∴ The mean of median and range is 32.5.

The correct option is 3 i.e. 32.5
