Correct Answer - Option 1 : 360m

Given:

Speed of train = 60 km/hr

Platform length = double of train length

Taken time to cross the platform = 32.4 sec

Formula used:

Distance = Speed × Time

Calculation:

Let the length of train = x

So, length of platform = 2x

⇒ Total distance in crossing platform = x + 2x = 3x

Speed = 60 km/hr = 60 × (5/18)

⇒ 150/9 m/sec

Distance = (150/9) × 32.4 = 540 m

⇒ 3x = 540 m

⇒ x = 180 m

So, length of train = 180 m

And length of platform = 180x2 = 360 m

∴ The length of platform is 360 m.
