Correct Answer - Option 4 : Rs. 1920

Given:

Length of garden = 40 m

Breadth of garden = 24 m

Cost of fening = Rs. 15 per m

Formula Used:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

Total cost = Perimeter × Per m cost of fencing

Calculation:

The perimeter of rectangle = Total length of fencing = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

⇒ Total length of fencing = 2 × (40 m + 24 m)

⇒ Total length of fencing = 2 × 64 m

⇒ Total length of fencing = 128 m

Total cost = Perimeter × Per m cost of fencing

⇒ Total cost = 128 m × 15

⇒ Total cost = Rs. 1920

∴ Total cost of fencing Rs. 1920.

The correct option is 4 i.e. Rs. 1920
