Correct Answer - Option 3 : 15

Given:

Number of observation = 14

Numbers are 18, 10, 10, 12, 14, 16, 22, 16, 20, 10, 10, 12, 16, 18.

Concept Used:

First, we have to arrange the given data as ascending numbers then we have to see how many numbers of data (n) are given and calculate their position.

If n is odd then, Median = {(n + 1)/2} th term

If n is even then, Median = [(n/2) th term + {(n/2) + 1} th term]/2

Calculation:

Ascending order:

10, 10, 10, 10, 12, 12, 14, 16, 16, 16, 18, 18, 20, 22

⇒ Middle values are 14 and 16

Median = Average of two middle values (as number of terms are even)

⇒ Median = (14 + 16)/2

∴ Median is 15.
