Correct Answer - Option 1 : 16.67%

Given:

Salary increased by 20%

Calculation:

Let assume that original salary be Rs.100

Increment = 20%

⇒ Increased salary = 100 + 20% = Rs. 120

According to question:

⇒ 20/120 × 100 = 16.67%

∴ The new salary is decreased by 16.67% to get the original salary.

The correct option is 1 i.e. 16.67%
