Company D:

2011 = 78, 2012 = 95, 2013 = 13, 2014 = 43, 2015 = 38

Company E:

2011 = 44, 2012 = 91, 2013 = 31, 2014 = 86, 2015 = 57

Formula:

Difference = total sale of company E – total sale of company D

Calculations:

total sale of company D = 267

total sale of company E = 309

Difference = 309 – 267 = 42

∴ Required difference is 42.
