  • In the First Battle of Tarain (1191), Prithviraj Chauhan defeated Mohd. Ghori.
  • In the Second Battle of Tarain (1192), Mohd. Ghori defeated Prithviraj Chauhan.
  • The Second Battle of Tarain led to the establishment of Muslim rule in India.
