Correct Answer - Option 1 : Not run

Explanation:

  • Petrol ignites by a spark from the spark plugs, diesel in a petrol engine clogs up the spark plugs and fuel system. That means the engine will not run.
  • When we put diesel in petrol engine the engine will not work because the flashpoint of diesel is very high ( 50°C ) as compared to that of petrol ( -43°C ) so vapour will not form of diesel fuel.
  • As petrol engine has carburetor which mixes fuel and air and supply to the engine but here there will be no combustion and vapour formed hence the engine will not run.
