Correct Answer - Option 1 : 8 : 3

Given

Mr. Bin started the business = Rs. 20,000

Mr. John started the business = Rs. 12,000

Formula

Profit = Investment × time

Calculation

Mr. Bin Investment for 24 months = 24 × 20,000 = 4,80,000

Mr. John Investment for 15 months = 15 × 12,000 = 1,80,000

⇒ Investment Ratio (Mr. Bin : Mr. John) = 4,80,000 : 1,80,000 = 8 : 3

⇒ Profit Ratio = 8 : 3

∴ The profit ratio after 2 years is 8 : 3
