Correct Answer - Option 1 : 20 %

Given:

In a survey it was found that  65 % people listen TV news

Read newspapers, = 40 %

Follow both= 25 %

Formula Used:

Percentage = (actual/Total) × 100

Calculation:

Let total no. of people in a survey =100

65% people listen TV news

No. of people listen TV news = (65 × 100) / 100 = 65

40% read newspapers, = (40 × 100) /100 = 40

25 % people use both TV and newspaper.

no. of people = (25 × 100 ) / 100 = 25

Then, no of people listen only TV news = 65-25 = 40

no of people read only TV news = 40 - 25 = 15

no. of people neither listen nor read news =100 - (40+15+25) = 20

percentage of people = (20 × 100 ) / 100 = 20 %

∴ Percentage of people neither listen TV news nor read newspapers is 20 %
