Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs. 95.13

Given:

Total fund to be raised = Rs.18,550

Contribution of each boy = Rs.265

Percentage of girls = 65%

Contribution of girls in total fund = 40%

Formula Used:

Percentage = (Actual/Total) × 100

Calculation:

As the contribution of girls is 40%, the contribution of boys = 60% of the total fund

Contribution of boys = 60% of 18,550 = 11,130

Number of boys = Total boys Contribution/Each boy contribution

Number of boys = 11,130/265 = 42

Number of girls = 42 × (65/35)  (as girls are 65% and boys are 35%)

Number of girls = 78

Total contribution by girls = 40% of 18,550 = 7420

Each girl contribution = Total girls contribution/ Number of girls

Each girl contribution = 7420/78 = 95.128 ≈ 95.13

∴ The contribution of each girl is Rs 95.13.
