Correct Answer - Option 2 : 31

The correct answer is 31.

    • 8 cervical,

    • 5 lumbar,
    • 5 sacral and
    • 1 coccygeal.

  • The cervical nerves are from the cervical vertebrae.
  • The thoracic nerves emerging from the thoracic vertebrae, each thoracic nerve T1 -T12 originates from each corresponding thoracic vertebra.
  • The lumbar nerves are from the lumbar vertebrae.
  • They are divided into posterior and anterior divisions. The sacral nerves exit the sacrum at the lower end of the vertebral column.
