Correct Answer - Option 4 : Constant

The correct answer is Constant.

  • The acceleration of the object is constant
  • Reason:
    • According to the question,
    • Distance Travelled = d= kt²-1, where k is the symbol of proportionality and t is time
    • Differentiating equation 1 with respect to time we get:
    • speed = v=2kt-2 again differentiating equation with respect time we get
    • acceleration=2k a constant value
    • Hence, The acceleration of the object is constant

  • Types of acceleration
    • Linear acceleration: An object moving in a straight line can only accelerate by a change in its velocity. This acceleration is known as linear acceleration.
    • Curvilinear acceleration: In curvilinear motion, which is the motion happening in a non-linear plane or along a curve, there is a constant change in direction. A typical example of this is circular motion or motion along a circular path. The acceleration, in this case, is called curvilinear acceleration. Acceleration, in a practical environment, may be a combination of the two.
