Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 120

Given:

Price of petrol = Rs. 100 per liter

The distance covered by bike in 1 liter = 30 km

Calculation:

Petrol consumption to cover 180 km distance = 180/30

Petrol consumption to cover 180 km distance = 6 litre

1 litre petrol price = Rs. 100

6 litre petrol price = Rs. 600

⇒ Increased price of petrol per litre = 100 × 120%

⇒ Increased price of petrol per litre = 100 × (120/100)

⇒ Increased price of petrol per litre = Rs. 120

⇒ 6 litre petrol price = 6 × 120

⇒ 6 litre petrol price = Rs. 720

⇒ Difference between money to cover a same distance = 720 – 600 = 120

∴ Rs. 120 spend more to cover a same distance.
