Correct Answer - Option 3 : Ionized radiation

The correct answer is Ionized radiation.

  • Ionizing radiation can cause cancer as well as cure it depending upon its intensity and use.
  • Ionized radiation:-
    • Ionizing radiation is typical energy that is released by atoms that would travel in the form of electromagnetic waves like X- rays and gamma ones or alpha, neutrons, or beta particles.
    • As radioactivity is nothing other than the spontaneous splitting of atoms, ionizing radiation would be the energy excess emitted in its due course.
    • From this activity, radionuclides are formed which are the unstable elements that would split and spread the ionizing radiation.
    • Most radionuclides are easily identified by the radiation type they emit, the energy of radiation, and also the half-life of it.

  • Tobacco:
    • Tobacco is the common name of the plant Nicotiana tabacum and, to a limited extent, Aztec tobacco (N. Rustica) and the cured leaf that is used, usually after aging and processing in various ways, for smoking, chewing, snuffing, and extraction of nicotine.
    • Various other species in the genus Nicotiana are grown as ornamentals, known collectively as flowering tobaccos.
    • This article deals with the farming of commercial tobacco from cultivation to curing and grading.
  • Alcohol:
    • Alcohol is any of a class of organic compounds characterized by one or more hydroxyl (-OH) groups attached to a carbon atom of an alkyl group (hydrocarbon chain).
    • Alcohols may be considered as organic derivatives of water (H2O) in which one of the hydrogen atoms has been replaced by an alkyl group, typically represented by R in organic structures.
    • For example, in ethanol (or ethyl alcohol) the alkyl group is the ethyl group, ―CH2CH3.
  • Ultraviolet rays:
    • Ultraviolet radiation is produced by high-temperature surfaces, such as the Sun, in a continuous spectrum and by atomic excitation in a gaseous discharge tube as a discrete spectrum of wavelengths.
    • Most of the ultraviolet radiation in sunlight is absorbed by oxygen in Earth’s atmosphere, which forms the ozone layer of the lower stratosphere.
    • Of the ultraviolet that does reach Earth’s surface, almost 99 is UVA radiation.
