Correct Answer - Option 2 : 136

Given:

Difference between two numbers is 112.

Calculation:

Let the two numbers be A and B. A decreased by 30% and B is increased by 19%.

According to statement, A × 70/100 = B × 119/100

⇒ A × 70 = B × 119

⇒ A/B = 119/70 = 17/10

Let A be 17x and B be 10x

Difference = A – B = 17x – 10x = 7x = 112

⇒ x = 112/7 = 16

Bigger number = 17x = 17 × 16 = 272

50% of bigger number = 272 × (50/100) = 136

∴ 136
