Correct Answer - Option 1 : 95/3 km/hr

Given

A person covered the distance in 3 hours  = 40 km per hr

A person covered the distance in 2 hours  = 20 km per hr

A person covered the distance in 1 hour = 30 km per hr

Calculation

Distance covered by a person in first 3 hours at a speed of 40 km/hr. = 3 × 40 = 120 km

Distance covered by person in next 2 hours at a speed of 20 km/hr. = 20 × 2 = 40 km

Distance covered in next 60 minutes at a speed of 30 km/hr. = 30 × 1 = 30 km

Total distance covered by the person 120 + 40 + 30 = 190 km

Total time taken = 3 + 2 + 1 = 6 hr.

Average speed = 190/6

⇒ 95/3 km/hr
