Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs. 5040

Given

Time spend by A, B and C to complete a work = 12 ∶ 11 ∶ 6

Concept

Efficiency is inversely proportional to the time taken to complete the work.

Ratio of efficiency is directly proportional to the wages.

Calculation

Time taken by them is 12, 11 and 6 hours

Let the total work be 132 units (LCM of 12, 11 and 6)

Efficiency of A = 132/12 = 11 units

Efficiency of B = 132/11 = 12 units

Efficiency of C = 132/6 = 22 units

As, the ratio of efficiency is directly proportional to the wages.

45 units corresponds to Rs.18,900

B (12 units) will corresponds to 18,900 × (12/45) = 5040

∴ Share of B is Rs. 5040
