In the given question, two equations numbered l and II are given. Solve both the equations and mark the appropriate answer.

I.\(\frac{4}{{\sqrt x }} + \frac{7}{{\sqrt x }} = \sqrt x \)

II. \({y^2} - \frac{{{{\left( {11} \right)}^{\frac{5}{2}}}}}{{\sqrt y }} = 0\)

1. x > y
2. x < y
3. x ≥ y
4. x ≤ y
5. x = y or relationship between x and y cannot be established

Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 5 : x = y or relationship between x and y cannot be established

I.  \(4 + 7 = \sqrt x \times \sqrt x \)

\( \Rightarrow x = 11\)

II. \({y^2} - \frac{{{{11}^{5/2}}}}{{\sqrt y }} = 0\)

\( \Rightarrow {y^{2 + \frac{1}{2}}} = {11^{5/2}}\)

\( \Rightarrow {y^{5/2}} = {11^{5/2}}\)

\( \Rightarrow y = 11\)

Comparison between x and y (via Tabulation):

Value of x

Value of y

Relation

11

11

x = y

11

11

x = y

11

11

x = y

11

11

x = y

∴  x = y
