Correct Answer - Option 3 : π sq. units

Concept:

Circle:

  • The radius of a circle is defined as the distance between any point on the circle to the center.
  • The area of a circle with radius r is given by Area = πr2.

Calculation:

Using the distance formula, radius of the circle will be:

r2 = (1 - 1)2 + (2 - 1)2

⇒ r2 = 1

Area of the circle = πr2 = π sq. units.
