Correct Answer - Option 2 : 483

Calculation:

L.C.M of (8, 24, 32, 40, 48) = 480

If 480 is divided by these given number, the remainder is 0.

To leave the same remainder 3,

The number will be 480 + 3 = 483

∴ 483 is the least number which when divided by 8, 24, 32, 40 and 48 leaves remainder 3 in each case.

In arithmetic and number theory, the least common multiple, the lowest common multiple, or smallest common multiple of two integers a and b, usually denoted by LCM(a, b), is the smallest positive integer that is divisible by both a and b.
