Speed = Distance/ Time

Calculation:

Let us assume that the two bodies meet at a point R, after time T.

⇒ For the P, PR = S1(T) and RQ = S1(T1)

⇒ For the Q, QR = S2T and RP = S2(T2)

PR = RP & QR = RQ

⇒ S1(T) = S2(T2)

⇒ S2(T) = S1(T1)

Dividing the above two equations, we will get S1(T)/S2(T) = S2(T2)/S1(T1)

⇒ S1/S2 = √t2/√t1

⇒ √t2 = √t1 × (S1/S2)
