Correct Answer - Option 2 : 1296/π

Given:

 A wire is bent in a square of perimeter 72 m

Formulae Used:

Perimeter of a square = 4 × (length of the side)

Perimeter (Circumference) of a circle = 2πr, where r = radius of the circle

Area of a circle = πr2

Calculation:

Perimeter is equal to the total length of the wire and when shaped to circular length is equal to the circumference of the circle

Circumference = 2πr = 72

⇒ r = 72/2π

⇒ r = 36/π

Now, area of circle = π × (36/π)²

⇒ π × (1296/π²)

∴ Area of circle is 1296/π
