Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 4 : Rs. 28.75

Given

Selling price of tomato = Rs. 22

Loss = 12%

Formula used

Selling price = Cost price + Profit

And selling price = Cost price - Loss

Calculation

Let the cost price is Rs. x

22 = x - 12% of x

⇒ 22 = 88x/100

⇒ x = (22 × 100)/88

⇒ x = 25

Selling price = 25 + 15% of 25

⇒ 25 + 3.75

⇒ 28.75

∴ Seller should sell tomato at Rs. 28.75 per kg to gain 15%
