Correct Answer - Option 2 : Sum of the square of perpendicular and base

Calculation:

By Pythagoras theorem,

The Hypotenuse of a right-angle triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of perpendicular and base.

i.e., (Hypotenuse)2 = (Perpendicular)2 + (Base)2

∴ The Hypotenuse of a right-angle triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of perpendicular and base.
