Correct Answer - Option 3 : Viscosity

Concept:

Viscosity:

  • Viscosity can be defined as the measure of a fluid's resistance to deformation at a given flow.

  • This is caused by friction within a fluid.

  • Result of intermolecular forces between the particles within a fluid.

Diffusion: It is the net movement of matter from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration.

Conduction: It is the process of transmission of energy from one particle of the medium to the other.

Explanation:

  • From the above discussion, we can conclude that, if velocity varies in different parts of gas, there will be relative motion b/w gas particles.

This result in the viscosity of the gas.
