Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : \(6\frac{2}{3}\)%

Given:

Initially, total volume of drink is 50 liters.

Calculations:

Volume of pure sugar,

⇒ 8% of 50 = (8/100) × 50 = 4 liters.

Now, given that, 10 liters of water is added then,

⇒ Total mixture = 50 + 10 = 60 liters

Volume of pure sugar is still 4 liters

⇒ % volume of sugar = (volume of sugar × 100)/(Total mixture)

⇒ (4 × 100)/60

\(6\frac{2}{3}\)

The percentage of sugar in the new drink is \(6\frac{2}{3}\)%
