Correct Answer - Option 2 : 7200 J

Concept:

The heat generated by a resistive coil or device is given as

\(H = \frac{V^2}{R}t = I^2 Rt\)

H is energy, t is time, R is resistance

Calculation:

Resistance R = 50 Ω

Voltage of Battery V = 10 V

time t = 1 hr = 3600 second

Heat dissipated

\(H = \frac{v^2}{R}t = I^2 Rt\)

\(\implies H = \frac{10^2}{50} \times 3600 = 2 \times 3600\)

⇒ H = 7200 Joule

So, the correct option is 7200 J.
