Correct Answer - Option 3 : 20%

Given:

10 Kg ghee pack contains 60% pure ghee and 40% vanaspati ghee.

10 Kg of pure ghee is added to the mixture of 10 Kg ghee pack.

Formula used:

Percentage of vanaspati ghee in final mixture = (Quantity of vanaspati in final mixture / Total quantity of final mixture ) × 100

Calculation:

According to the question,

60% of pure ghee in initial mixture = (60/100) × 10 Kg = 6 Kg

40% of vanaspati ghee in initial mixture = (40/100) × 10 Kg = 4 Kg

After adding 10 Kg of pure ghee,

Total quantity of final mixture = 10 Kg + 10 Kg = 20 Kg

Quantity of vanaspati ghee in final mixture = 4 Kg

⇒ Percentage of vanaspati ghee in final mixture = (4/20) × 100

⇒ 0.2 × 100 = 20 %

∴ The percentage of vanaspati ghee in final mixture is 20 %.
