Correct Answer - Option 1 : 50 m

Given:

The speed of two trains is 46 km/hr and 36 km/hr.

The faster train passes the slower train in 36 seconds.

The length of the train is same.

Formula Used:

Relative speed in same direction = S1 - S2

Calculation:

Let the length of the train be x.

Time taken to over take = (x + x)/(46 - 36)

⇒ 2x/10 = 36/3600

⇒ x = 1/20 km = 1/20 × 1000 = 50 m

∴ The length of each train is 50 m.
