Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 159.6

Given

Marked Price of an article = Rs. 240

Formula Used

Selling price = (marked price/100) × (100 - discount)%

Calculation

When two discount of 30% and 5% are allowed on the marked price of Rs. 240

Then, selling price = 240 × (100 – 30)/ 100  × (100 – 5) / 100

⇒ 240 × 70 × 95 / 10000

⇒ 15960 / 100 = Rs. 159.6

∴ The required answer is Rs. 159.6
