Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 3100

Given

Sunil distributes his salary to son = 15%

Sunil gives to daughter = 20% of his salary

Formula Used

Percentage = (actual value/Total value) × 100

Calculation

Let the Sunil's salary be 100x

Son's share = 15% of 100x = 15x

Daughter's share = 10% of 100x = 10x

Wife share's = 20% of 100x = 20x

sunil's left money after distributes = 100x - (15x + 10x + 20x) = 55x

Saving by son from his amount = 15x - 60% of 15x = 6x

Saving by daughter from his amount = 10x - 60% of 10x = 4x

Saving by wife from his amount = 20x - 30% of 20x = 14x

Difference between amount left with sunil and three of them = Rs. 961

⇒ 55x - (6x + 4x + 14x ) = 961

⇒ x = 31

⇒ 100x = 3100

∴ The monthly income of sunil is Rs. 3100
