Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 5600

Given:

X invested = Rs. 4500

Y invested = Rs. 7000

Z invested = Rs. 9000

At the end of 2 years profit earned = 16400

Calculation:

The ratio of the amount invested by X, Y, Z

⇒ 4500 : 7000 : 9000

⇒ 45 : 70 : 90

⇒ 9 : 14 : 18

Total profit = Rs. 16400

Y's share = (14/41) × 16400

⇒ 14 × 400

⇒ Rs. 5600.

∴ Y’s share of profit is Rs. 5600.
