Correct Answer - Option 1 : 3 : 2

Given:

Number of students = 65

Total rupees distributed among them = 39 Rs.

Each boy gets  = 80 paise

each girls gets = 30 paise

The ratio of number of boys to number of girls in the class = ?

Calculation :

1 rupee = 100 paise  then ,

39 rupees × 100 = 3900 paise

Average money per students = 3900/65 = 60 paise

Applying the allegation rule

⇒ (80 - 60) / (60 - 30) = 2/3

Boys : Girls = 3 : 2

Number of boys = (65 × 3) /(3 + 2) = 39

Number of girls = total students - number of boys

⇒ 65 - 39 = 26

∴ The ratio of number of boys to number of girls respectively = 39/26 = 3 : 2
