The equation of the line passing through (4, -6) and an angle of 45° with the position x axis is: -
1. x - y - 10 = 0
2. x - 2y - 16 = 0
3. x - 3y - 22 = 0

Correct Answer - Option 1 : x - y - 10 = 0

We know that slope = tan θ

Here slope would be = tan 45° = 1

Equation of line having slope m and passing through (x1, y1)

y - y1 = m (x - x1)

Here slope = 1 and point (4, -6)

(y + 6) = 1 (x - 4)

x - y - 10 = 0
