Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs. 2750

Given:

The ratio of inverstment of A, B, and C = 4 : 5 : 6

The profit obtained = Rs. 8250

Concept used:

Profit ratio = ratio of the product of investment × time of investment

Calculation:

Profit ratio of A, B, and C = 4 × 1 ∶ 5 × 1 ∶ 6 × 1 =  4 : 5 : 6

Then, let the profit obtained by A, B, and C be 4x, 5x, and 6x respectively.

4x + 5x + 6x = 8250

15x =  8250      ----(1)

Profit share of B = 5x

So, (1) ÷ 3 = 5x =  8250/3 = 2750

∴ The profit share of B is Rs. 2750.
