Correct Answer - Option 3 : 2

Calculation:

\(\dfrac{y-\left(3-4y\right)}{8y-\left(2+5y\right)}=\dfrac{7}{4}\)

⇒ \(\dfrac{5y-3}{3y-2}=\dfrac{7}{4}\)

⇒ 20y - 12 = 21y - 14

⇒ y = 2

∴ The required value of y is 2.
