Correct Answer - Option 4 : 7 : 8

Given:

The ratio between ages of P and Q is 6 : 7

Q is 4 years older than P

Calculation:

Let the age of P and Q be 6x and 7x respectively

According to the question, we have

7x - 6x = 4 years

⇒ x = 4 years

So, the age of P = 6x = (6 × 4) years = 24 years

And the age of Q = 7x = (7 × 4) years = 28 years

P's age after 4 years = (24 + 4) years = 28 years

And Q's age after 4 years = (28 + 4) years = 32 years

So ratio of their ages after 4 years = 28/32 = 7 : 8

∴ The required ratio is 7 : 8.
