Correct Answer - Option 1 : 62

Given :

A student has marbles = 1234

He wants to arrange them in equal numbers of rows and columns.

The minimum number of marbles that he need more for this purpose = ?

Calculation :

Total number of marbles = 1234

For arranging in equal number of rows and columns, we should find the nearest square

⇒ 352 = 1225, But it is less than 1234

Take the next number

36=1296

Minimum number of marbles required = 1296 - 1234 = 62

∴ The minimum number of marbles that he need more for this purpose = 1296 - 1234 = 62
