Correct Answer - Option 2 : 4800

Given:

Perimeter of rectangle = 320 cm

Length of a rectangle = 3 times of its breadth

Concept:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b) cm [l = length, b = breadth]

Calculation:

Let, breadth of the rectangle = x cm

Length of the rectangle = 3x cm

According to the question,

⇒ 2(x + 3x) = 320

⇒ 8x = 320

⇒ x = 40

Length of rectangle = 3x = 3 × 40 = 120 cm

Breadth of rectangle = x = 40 cm

∴ Area of rectangle = (120 × 40) cm2 = 4800 cm2
