Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 3 : 11 : 9

Given

Sum of two number = 40

Difference of two number = 4

Calculation

Let the number be x and y

According to question

⇒ x + y = 40       -----(i)

⇒ x - y = 4       -----(ii)

 Adding both equation we get

⇒ x = 22

Putting x in eq (i) we get,

⇒ y = 18

∴ Ratio of numbers are 11 : 9
