Given :

√ 2 = 1.4 

Calculation :

√50 - √18

⇒ 5√2 - 3√2

⇒ 2√2

then ,put the value of √2 = 1.4 

⇒ 2 × 1.4 = 2.8

∴  the value of \( \sqrt{50} - \sqrt{18}\) = 2.8
