Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs. 80,598

Given:

Investment of Priti and Shobha respectively = Rs. 12,240 and Rs. 20,400

Shobha left after 7 months

Investment of Tina after she joined = Rs. 4080 + Shobha's investment

Profit share of Tina = Rs. 23,940

Concept used:

As we know, Profit is directly proportional to (Investment × Time)

Calculation:

Investment of Tina = Rs. (4080 + 20,400) = Rs. 24,480

Ratio of the profit share of Priti, Shobha and Tina = 12240 × 12 : 20400 × 7 : 24480 × 5

⇒ 36 : 35 : 30

So, 30 = Rs. 23,940

Then, 101 = Rs. (23,940/30) × 101

⇒ Rs. 80,598

∴ Total profit of the year was Rs. 80,598
