Correct Answer - Option 4 : 110 kg

Given:

The average weight of 48 students of a class is 36 kg

Formula used:

Sum of the weight of students = Average × Total number of students

Calculation:

Sum of the weights of 48 students = 48 × 36 = 1728

When we included the Principal and the Teacher, the average becomes 36.76 kg

And, the total number of student and teachers becomes 50.

So, The total new weight becomes = 36.76 × 50 = 1838

Sum of the weight of the principal and the teacher = new weight – initial weight

⇒ 1838 – 1728

⇒ 110 kg

∴ The sum of the weight of the teacher and the principal is 110 kg.
