Correct Answer - Option 1 : 25%

Calculation:

Let total marks of exam be n and passing marks be m.

⇒ 20/100 × n = m - 30

⇒ n = 5m - 150

⇒ 32/100 × n = m + 42

Solving,

⇒ 8/25 × (5m - 150) = m + 42

⇒ 40m - 1200 = 25m + 1050

⇒ m = 150

Total marks = 5 × 150 - 150 = 600

∴ Passing percentage = 150/600 × 100 = 25%
