Correct Answer - Option 1 : IPR

The Correct Answer is Intellectual property rights(IPR).

  • Intellectual property rights are the rights granted to individuals for their mind works.
  • For a set period of time, they normally grant the creator exclusive rights to use his or her work.
  • Traditionally, intellectual property rights are classified into two categories:
    • Copyright and rights related to copyright: Copyright protects the rights of writers of literary and artistic works (such as books and other texts, musical compositions, drawings, sculpture, computer programs, and films) for at least 50 years after their death.
    • Industrial property: trademarks (which differentiate one company's products or services from those of others) and geographical indications are two examples of distinctive signs that are protected (which identify a good as originating in a place where a given characteristic of the good is essentially attributable to its geographical origin).

  • Plagiarism is a serious moral and ethical problem in India, but it is not a crime. It is considered fraud when someone else's work is misrepresented as one's own. Plagiarism becomes cheating when the whole act is carried out dishonestly.
  • Making, distributing, and disseminating cyber pornography is illegal under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act of 2000. The act of browsing and viewing online pornography, on the other hand, is not punishable. Cyber laws make it illegal to create, distribute, or even view online child pornography.
