Correct Answer - Option 2 : 9 cm

Given:

⇒ distance between centres of circles= 15 cm

⇒ Radius of circles = 6 cm

Calculation:

⇒ Length of transverse common tangent = √{(15)2 – (6 + 6)2} = 9 cm

∴ Length of transverse common tangent = 9 cm
